Processes
CNC milling, turning and finishing — through one contact
3-axis CNC milling
Plates, brackets, housings, fixtures and prismatic parts with pockets, holes and threads.
Multi-axis milling
3+2 and 5-axis work for multi-face and more complex parts, at selected partner shops.
CNC turning & mill-turn
Shafts, pins, bushings, spacers, flanges and fittings, including milled features on turned parts.
Finishing & assembly
Anodizing, plating, coating, inserts and simple assembly, coordinated with the machine shop.
Typical capabilities
What our partner network typically handles
These are typical ranges across our partner factories, not guarantees. Every part is reviewed against your drawing, and the achievable tolerance, finish and lead time are confirmed in your quote.
Need very tight tolerances or certified supply (aerospace, medical)? Mention it in your RFQ — we'll tell you honestly whether we can support it.
| Quantities | Prototypes from 1 piece; small batches typically up to a few thousand pieces, depending on the part. |
|---|---|
| Part size | Typically small to medium parts (roughly palm-sized up to about 500 mm). Larger parts on request. |
| General tolerance | ISO 2768-m (medium) unless your drawing specifies otherwise. |
| Tighter tolerances | Commonly around ±0.02–0.05 mm on specified critical features, depending on partner factory, material and geometry. Tighter requirements reviewed case by case. |
| Surface roughness | As-machined typically around Ra 3.2 µm; finer finishes on request. |
| Threads | Metric (ISO) and imperial (UNC/UNF) threads as specified; thread inserts on request. |
| Lead time | Depends on complexity, finish and quantity. As a rough guide, simple samples often take about 1–2 weeks and small batches about 2–4 weeks, plus shipping. Confirmed in each quote. |
| Inspection | Dimensional checks against your drawing before shipment; reports and photos on request. See Quality. |
| Files | 3D: STEP/STP, IGES. 2D: PDF, DWG, DXF. A 3D model plus a dimensioned PDF drawing is best. |

FAQ
CNC machining questions
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No fixed minimum — we quote from 1 piece. For very small orders the setup cost is a larger share of the price, so we often quote several quantities so you can compare unit prices.
Can I get a sample before the full batch?
Yes. For new parts we recommend a first sample (or first article) for your approval before production. Sample cost and timing are shown separately in the quote.
Which drawing standards do you work with?
ISO-based drawings (e.g. ISO 2768 general tolerances, ISO GPS / GD&T callouts) are common with our buyers. If your drawing uses ASME or JIS conventions, just let us know.
How are parts shipped?
Small, urgent orders usually go by express courier; larger batches by air or sea freight from the Shanghai area. Trade terms (EXW, FOB Shanghai, DAP, etc.) are agreed per order.
